    Description

A working manual, from the estate of a design engineer in the energy industry. Spiral bound, the ring is crushed in pales. Wear at the perforations, creasing at the top.
Asbestos has been known to be a health hazard for 2000 years, and recognized by the US Government as hazardous since the end of WWI, however a ban against its use in all forms was not promulgated until 1989.
Pressure pipe, these days, is often fiber-reinforced concrete; graphite or other materials. Today fiber glass and carbon fibers are used to replace the asbestos that was used then. Both are also under investigation as hazardous.
