WW-II Japanese Invasion Money JIM7 Different Philippines
During World War II the Japanese issued currency for the countries they invaded, part of their goal for a Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere. They invaded the Philippines in December 1941 and in 1942 issued the
10 Pesos
showing a Plantation in good but circulated condition.
To further implement the sphere the Japanese later granted the Philippine "Independence" under Japanese rule and to celebrate issued the
1 Peso

5 Pesos
and
100 Pesos
notes depicting the Rizal Monument in Manila. These are in good but circulated condition.
The
One Centavo and 5 Centavos
notes are in uncirculated or near uncirculated condition. The
, 50 Centavos
has a great deal of wear and discoloration.
